Our Lady of Walsingham

I usually see myself as a Conservative, Broad-Church Anglican at the center of the Cross (as illustrated in a previous post), but every now and then I will go off into one of the other directions.

This post is going to deal with one of my Anglo-Catholic bends, that of the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham.

My wife and I had been hoping to have another child (my son is in desperate need of a sibling) and we where not succeeding, in my daily prayers I had asked for the blessing of another child and still no result. So, I diverted a little west on my Anglican compass and asked for Our Lady to join my prayer and instructed myself to do certain acts of thanksgiving when the prayer was answered.

1) Start a Traditional Anglican Mission Project in my area.

2) Donate to the shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham.

3) To buy an Icon of Our Lady of Walsingham.

4) To visit a local shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham at St. James Anglican (ACC) - Cleveland.

Well, Thanks Be to God, my prayers have been answered and #1&2 have been completed, I am shopping for #3 and planning #4.
