I love it when it all comes together.

From today's lectionary (1928BCP/1945Lec) - Morning Prayer

In the first lesson - "Am not I a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? and my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? wherefore then speakest thou so to me? (1 Samuel 9:21)

Now we come to the second lesson - "And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last." (St. Luke 13:30)

This theme is mirrored in St. Matthew 19:30 and St. Mark 10:31, that with faith ANYONE can be elevated in either an earthly or heavenly kingdom.

Kevin,

That IS neat how those Scriptures come together- thanks for pointing that out.
